Profile

Mohammad is a company secretary and law graduate with more than 20 years in corporate, labour and environment, health and safety (EHS) law compliance, at EY, PwC and his own practice.

He spent more than nine years at EY, rising from Manager to Director, before co-founding MSA Consulting in 2023.

At PwC, as Manager from 2008 to 2014, he took companies through listing on BSE and NSE, ran due diligence under corporate, labour and environment laws, and audited companies under corporate, labour, tax and environment laws. He set up compliance frameworks for units and plants, ran internal compliance audits for manufacturers, service providers and BPOs, advised clients on corporate, labour, economic and environment laws, obtained Central Government and Regional Director approvals under company law, and handled board and general meetings, directors' reports and annual reports.

He trained with Mehta & Mehta, practising company secretaries, working on share dematerialisation, preferential allotments, IPO and buy-back due diligence, secretarial and share-transfer audits, and filings with the Registrar of Companies and the Reserve Bank of India.

At BDI he is Partner and Co-Head of Compliance & Legal Services in the Risk, Compliance & Regulatory practice, which he leads with Monita Singh, covering statutory and secretarial compliance, corporate law, labour law and EHS compliance.
