Verify a certificate.

Every Brand Defence Academy certificate carries a unique ID and a SHA-256 fingerprint anchored on the Bitcoin blockchain, so it can be checked today and for years to come.

The name is checked in your browser and never sent to BDI. Upper or lower case and extra spaces don't matter.

Enter the details from the certificate to check it against the Brand Defence Academy register.

How verification works

  1. When a certificate is issued, its details (ID, name, course, date) form a record whose SHA-256 fingerprint is unique to that certificate.
  2. The fingerprint is timestamped through OpenTimestamps, which anchors it in the Bitcoin blockchain. Nobody, including BDI, can change it afterwards.
  3. This page rebuilds the fingerprint from the details you enter and compares it with the Academy's public register. The register holds no names.
