For generic top-level domains, the UDRP applies. Hosting providers, registrars and platforms are asked to take content down in parallel.

What does an INDRP or UDRP complaint achieve?
It can result in the domain being transferred to you or cancelled. Both policies require you to show that the domain is identical or confusingly similar to your mark and that the registrant has no legitimate interest in it. The UDRP also requires bad-faith registration and use, while the INDRP requires bad-faith registration or use.
Can a fake site come down faster than a domain dispute?
Often, yes. Hosting providers and platforms can remove fraudulent content on notice while the domain complaint proceeds.
Should we warn customers publicly?
Usually, yes. A clear advisory on your website and through dealers reduces the number of further victims and shows that the brand acted.
