A paints manufacturer's legal team moves label approvals from e-mail to one record
How could the legal team move label approvals off e-mail and check every request against the Legal Metrology rules the same way?

The question
Sticker and label artwork for paint packs was approved by e-mail.
What we did
Label approvals now run on BDI's TruScale, configured for paint packs. Brand and packaging teams raise a request for each artwork with the product, pack and livery details, including combi packs and metal liveries. Every approver sees the same six-point Legal Metrology checklist, and the request moves through three approval levels. Artwork is kept as original, edited and revised versions, and a request log records each decision.
The outcome
Every approver works from the same checklist, artwork that needs changes is sent back with comments, and each decision sits in the request log with the artwork versions.

The Labour Codes are almost a year old. Is your compliance checklist?
Four Codes replaced 29 central labour laws on 21 November 2025, and the central rules followed in May 2026. The change that matters sits in the detail: wage definitions, registrations, returns and appointment letters.

Every board signs a line on "all applicable laws". Can yours prove it?
Each year the directors' responsibility statement says the board devised systems to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, and that they work. Most listed boards must also review compliance reports on every law that applies. Few can produce the list behind the sentence.

A first label error now earns a warning. The second can cost ₹5 lakh.
Amendments in force since 1 May 2026 rewrote the penalties for packages whose declarations do not conform. A first offence brings an improvement notice; later ones carry penalties and fines of up to ₹50 lakh, and online sales are named expressly.
