Compliance framework design

Every law that applies to your business, turned into a checklist with owners, frequencies and risk ratings, and monitored so the board can see where you stand.

The service

Every law that applies to your business identified and turned into a checklist with owners, frequencies and risk ratings, then monitored through a reporting mechanism.

02.4 · Legal & statutory compliance

Most compliance failures are not deliberate. They happen because no one knew a law applied, or no one owned the task. A compliance framework fixes both: it lists the laws that apply to each entity, unit and location, breaks them into actionable compliances, and gives each one an owner and a date.

We start from how your business works: a questionnaire on your operations, the licences, registrations and approvals you hold, and any tracker you already keep. From that we identify the legislation that applies, agree it with your process owners, and draft checklists with the Act and rule reference, frequency, authority, categorisation and risk rating for each compliance.

Coverage spans corporate and secretarial law; labour, employment and establishment law; social security; environment, health and safety; tax; foreign exchange and foreign trade; information technology and data privacy; and industry-specific regulation, at central, state and local level, in India and overseas. The framework then runs on a monitoring and reporting rhythm, with controls and internal processes for each compliance.

When you need it

You are not sure which laws apply across your entities, units, states and countries, or compliance is tracked in spreadsheets without owners.

Signs we see most often

  • 01No one can say with confidence which laws apply to each entity, unit or state.
  • 02Compliance is tracked in spreadsheets, with no owners or evidence.
  • 03You are opening new units, entering new states or setting up overseas.
  • 04A notice or penalty arrived for a filing no one knew about.
  • 05The board wants assurance that the business complies.

FAQs

Questions clients ask before we start.

What do you need from us to start?

Answers to a short questionnaire on your operations, the list or copies of the licences, registrations and approvals you hold, and any compliance tracker you already use.

Does it cover our overseas entities?

Yes. The framework can cover entities and branches outside India, alongside central, state and local laws in India.

Who owns compliance once the framework is in place?

Your process owners and management. The framework makes ownership, deadlines and evidence visible; accountability stays with the organisation and its board.
